Pharmacy

Funding Priorities

The Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy opened on the campus of Texas A&M-Kingsville in 2006 to address the shortage of pharmacists in the border region. Since then, it has established an exceptional pharmacy program, obtained full professional accreditation with flying colors, and graduated six cohorts of students (42 percent of whom returned to South Texas to help underserved populations). The college’s leadership strives to entrench a culture of excellence, education, research, practice, and patient care to each professional student enrolled. The college is ranked in the country’s Top 50 pharmacy programs by S. News & World Report.
